Being partial to wines from The Prestige Wine Group, I’ve never been one to wander outside the brands I drink at home with Papa Mike and Jill. Until NOW. I was at a friend’s last week for dinner and Cody brought over New Age white wine. It’s a beautiful blend of Sauv Blanc and Malvasia from the Mendoza region in Argentina.
It’s a very light bodied wine, yet clean and crisp and definitely refreshing. The combination of melon, apricot, and citrus flavors will leave a delightfully sweet taste in your mouth – and have your tongue dancing for more! Better yet, you can serve it with ice and a slice of lime – and let me tell you, for a second, it almost feels like summer. It’s a screw cap wine (classy, I know) but that makes it perfect to pack for the beach. And I’m guessing raspberries and blueberries bobbing a-top the almost sparkling glass would be quite delectable too!
