How to make Monday suck a little less

Mondays are always rough for me, especially when it’s the monday after spring break. I enjoyed my sleep and fun so much this last week that when my alarm sounded this morning, I wanted to do anything but be productive. But dragging along all day is no way to start your week so I complied a few reasons why this particular monday was a good day.

1.) Folgers French Vanilla Coffee:

Being a broke college student, this gourmet coffee can gorge your wallet. But saving it for extra sleepy days (and drinking regular coffee most of the time) makes it a special treat for those days you really don’t want to get out of bed.

2.) All of the snow is MELTED:

Flip-flops? Why not. Sure it’s only 40 degrees but dear lord my toes missed the fresh air. There’s nothing like knowing spring, sundreses, sandals, and BBQs are right around the corner.

3.) MUSIC

Everyone has that one song that no matter how crabby you are, it still makes you smile. PLAY IT. There’s nothing like jamming to some hip hop beats to cheer up your mood. A personal new fave of mine is United State of Pop by DJ Earworm. It compiled 2009’s top 25 songs and I can’t listen to it with out dancing a little, even if it is just by myself : )

4.) You’ll get through it.

Monday is one day. And this monday, like all others, is only going to last for 24 hours (keep in mind you’ll be a sleep for almost half of it!!) So when you find yourself down in the dumps with a case of the mondays, remember – you can do anything for 24 hours. So get up, get out there, and be PRODUCTIVE. And at the end of the day you’ll be able to be proud of what you accomplished.
